AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems North America 2012 show took place last week in Las Vegas, showcasing and discussing products in the unmanned systems market. Over 8,000 people attended the show with 500+ exhibitors filling the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
The Compunetix Federal Systems Division (FSD) was excited to attend the show and have the opportunity to demonstrate the Spatial Audio capability of the CONTEX® Mission Voice Platform (MVP). This feature of the MVP allows users to simulate different audio sources in up to nine different 3D locations in space. The demo allowed users to first listen to a non-spatial version and then a spatial version of three audio conversations occurring at the same time and compare the two versions. When a user was asked to focus on just one conversation, they found it much easier to do so with the spatial version intelligence.
Our FSD team highly enjoyed the tradeshow, especially seeing all of the robotic devices and special areas for remote-controlled air and ground vehicles that maneuvered through obstacle courses.
We would like to thank all of the attendees who stopped by the Compunetix booth and we look forward to seeing and speaking with more people at our upcoming shows, listed here.

Sponsored by AFCEA International, the TechNet Land Forces- South 2012 show took place in Tampa last week. Compunetix was excited to attend and meet with various divisions of the U.S. Army and Air Force that focus on small business participation. These divisions included the Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), and the 38th Cyberspace Engineering Group (CEG), among others.
Compunetix showcased our Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Certified CONTEX Summit® and alerting solutions, which ensure secure communication in mission-critical situations. The JITC features of the CONTEX Summit include a multi-level precedence and preemption, so priorities to individual calls and conferences can be assigned, a blast dial for preset parties into a conference, and multiple dial attempts.
TechNet was a great show for Compunetix and we look forward to showcasing more of our products in other upcoming shows! For a list of the tradeshows that Compunetix plans on attending, click here.

Yi Yin, a Customer Service Engineer who has been with Compunetix for 2 years, is now leaving Pittsburgh and heading to Beijing, China. Yi and 3 other engineers in the Communications Systems Division (CSD) of Customer Service speak fluent Mandarin and are able to properly support our customers in China in their native language. However, the 12 hour time difference between Pittsburgh and Beijing makes communicating very difficult for both the customers and engineers. With the move of Yi to Beijing, customers will now be able to contact a Customer Service Engineer, who understands their needs at their convenience, and within their own time zone.
Collaboration is still in the early stages and only 10 licenses are available for telecommunication companies to provide audio conferencing services. Of these 10 licensees, 5 are customers of Compunetix. Compunetix currently has thousands of ports of CONTEX Summit® conferencing in use throughout China, which will continue to increase as the demand for conferencing equipment grows.
Yi will accompany our sales representatives in China, Raymond Cheung and Sonia Soo, on visits to prospective customers, and provide technical support and insight into the equipment design.
We are excited to have Yi in Beijing, where her knowledge of the Compunetix Summit hardware and software will allow her to help customers in China and provide conferencing services to meet their growing needs.
Celebrate our country’s independence with Compunetix at the TechNet Land Forces- South conference, sponsored by AFCEA International, on July 10-12th held at the Tampa Convention Center. The theme of the 2012 conference is “Connecting Joint and Coalition Partners for the Next Fight” with a focus on the ground component of the Army and Marine Corps. Exhibitors will be showcasing solutions for the challenges that the DoD and all branches of the military face on an ongoing basis.
Compunetix, who maintains the largest worldwide deployments of mission-critical conferencing systems, will be showcasing the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) CONTEX Summit® and alerting solutions.
The JITC certification process ensures that a system meets the joint interoperability requirements of its users and assures that in mission-critical situations, communications will remain secure and intact, minimizing risk and maximizing efforts.
Compunetix will be at booth 545 in the exhibit hall, so stop by and ask one of our experts about our JITC Certified CONTEX Summit® system and alerting solutions that we provide for resolving crisis situations.
